The Joint Conference on Evaluation for the Sustainable Development Goals will present highly challenging speeches and special sessions, with Gonzalo Hernández Licona of the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL), Mexico, Arlette Pichardo from the National University of Costa Rica and Marvin Taylor Dormond of the Asian Development Bank as keynote speakers, and including Osvaldo Feinstein (Complutense University of Madrid/ReLAC), Caroline Heider (IEG-World Bank), Marco Segone (UNFPA), Nuria Cunill-Grau (Centre for Local and Regional Development Studies, University of Los Lagos, Chile), Adeline Sibanda (AfrEA President), Michael Quinn Patton amongst many other evaluation luminaries. Evaluation for the Sustainable Development Goals is the main theme, and participants will have a wide array of presentation and panel sessions to choose from, including on methods and approaches, use of evidence from M&E systems, roles of evaluation networks and associations and discussions about the evaluation agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Government of Guanajuato graciously invites all participants to a Gala Dinner, where regional dress will be encouraged. The detailed programme will be published in October when all proposed presentations, panels and posters will have been reviewed.
On Monday and Tuesday, a wide choice in Spanish and English language workshops will be offered, with a roster of world-class facilitators, many of whom are involved in some of the most famous evaluation training programmes in the world. Subjects in all themes of the conference are offered!
